He woke up many
Hours later, bleary-eyed
And somehow lonely.
He dragged his body
Up and out of the chair, but
Did not make it far.
Today was, as he
Decided, a lazy day
And one to forget.

It took her quite some
Time to fall asleep that night; her
Mind was occupied.
She awoke the next
Morning and made the choice to
Go back to the trees.
So there Donna sat,
Exactly where she had met
The stranger before.
And so she sat, and
Waited. Hours went by with
Nary a human.
Tired, she went to
A nearby tree and carved there:
"I waited for you."

He strode past windows,
Each shouting out at him their
Own advertisements.
On occasion he
Would turn to glance at the screens,
None interesting.
She was a stranger,
Why did he care so much? Would
He see her again?
Regardless, he still
Felt a little lonely on
The way to his house.
He made it home, and
Proceeded to sit in a
Chair to do nothing.
Each shouting out at him their
Own advertisements.
On occasion he
Would turn to glance at the screens,

The television
Was on, but neither her gaze
Nor mind was on it.
"Who was he? Where did
He come from? And I'd like to
See him again, but..."

He woke up and found
Her gone - his mood worsened as
He lifted himself.
"Why did she leave so
Suddenly?" he wondered. She
Had made him happy.
He glanced at his watch.
It glanced half past ten back at
Him, so he walked home.
His mind never could quite
Leave the subject of twirling-
Girl. Where did she go?
Her gone - his mood worsened as
He lifted himself.
"Why did she leave so
Suddenly?" he wondered. She
Had made him happy.

They twirled the day to
Oblivion; day soon gave
Way to the night-time.
They both lay on their
Backs next to each other, each
Mind on the other.
Oblivion; day soon gave
Way to the night-time.
They both lay on their
Backs next to each other, each
Mind on the other.

Sir was an odd choice
Of words. Neither of them were
All that old at all.
She: But eighteen. He:
Nineteen. He looked into her
Eyes and gave a smile.
"May I join you?" he
Queried. "Sure" she stammered. "Be my
Guest." And so they danced.
Of words. Neither of them were
All that old at all.
